Job Description: The Business Development Manager will prospect and close new business within our existing market, primarily focusing on underdeveloped accounts. This inside sales role focuses on converting non-buying customers into buying customers and transitions converted accounts to an Account Manager. Strategic Business Unit: Direct Supply Equipment & Furnishings provides tremendous value to Senior Living communities during every step of the equipment procurement process, including over 1 million product solutions and a streamlined approach to capital project management. Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities: 1. Generate new revenue in the Senior Living market through prospecting and closing new business over the phone. 2. Increases sales of products and services within targeted accounts to achieve sales goals in all key areas. 3. Develop and implement selling strategies to grow territory. 4. Coordinate internal resources necessary to respond quickly to customer needs, requests and problems. 5. Ensure smooth transition of converted accounts from business development team to traditional selling team. 6. Leverage sales reports to gauge effectiveness of selling strategies. 7. Develop and maintain customer relationships with purchasing managers, executives, administrators, and other senior living and healthcare professionals. 8. Coordinate internal and external resources to address customer requests for products, safety concerns, financing, and regulatory issues. 9. Gain specialized knowledge of and understand the operations of a health care facility including: budgeting process, state survey process, department roles and responsibilities, resident profiles, levels of care, and the decision-making process. 10. Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree 2. 2+ years of successful sales experience required with demonstrated ability to execute prospecting strategies for establishing and growing underdeveloped accounts. 3. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 4. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills with demonstrated success in developing strong customer relationships over the phone. 5. Effective time-management and organizational skills. 6. Self-motivated with demonstrated energy, initiative, and drive for results. 7. Ability to make quick, smart decisions with limited information. 8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs 9. Willingness to be flexible with schedule to meet the demands of our customers. 10.
