Job Description: Job Summary: The Account Manager Intern (Undergraduate and Graduate*) will be responsible for managing a sales territory and driving growth by providing outstanding value and service to Direct Supply’s customers. This individual’s primary focus will be developing his/her selling, service and strategic thinking skills, while learning the inner workings of Direct Supply’s sales and business structure. This internship is year-round, accommodating a part-time schedule during the school year and a full-time schedule during school breaks and summer. Strategic Business Unit: Direct Supply Equipment & Furnishings provides tremendous value to Senior Living communities during every step of the equipment procurement process, including over 1 million product solutions and a streamlined approach to capital project management. Major Duties & Responsibilities 1. Develop a strong understanding of Direct Supply products and services. 2. Understand the operations of Senior Living communities, including the budgeting process, state survey process, department roles and responsibilities, resident profiles, levels of care and the decision-making process. 3. Manage all aspects of a sales territory including regular phone contact, service, sales, quoting and prospecting for new business. 4. Coordinate with internal departments to respond quickly to customer needs, requests and problems. 5. Maintain a high degree of sales ethics. 6. Make effective use of all selling tools, systems and technology. 7. Support the Direct Supply vision and portray a positive can-do attitude to customers and fellow employees. 8. Assist in various support functions as needed. *Graduate Student Account Manager Interns will have the additional opportunity to participate in team and company leadership opportunities as well as manage strategic projects to fuel company growth.

Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, junior standing preferred • Highly energetic, self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed • Professional verbal and written communication skills • Exceptional active listening skills • Skilled in information gathering and comprehension • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred • Required time commitment: minimum 20 hours per week during the school year, 40 hours per week during the summer • Interest in pursuing a career in the Account Manager role post-graduation
