Financial Services Assistant
Job Description: Job Summary: The Financial Services Assistant is responsible for the efficient processing of Credit and Accounts Receivable paperwork through our department to ensure a timely processing of customer orders. This individual’s primary responsibility is to assist in the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the department. Track credit application process and complete credit references. 2. Make low level credit decisions based on prescribed procedures. 3. Assist with the application of payments and credit card transactions. 4. Process invoices. 5. Assist with processing department mail. 6. Communicate and support customer credit activity both within the Financial Services department and to the Sales department. 7. Work with leasing companies to obtain the best rate and customer service for our customers. 8. Track, monitor and submit bankruptcy filings. File claims and responses within deadlines while adhering to all applicable laws and internal company guidelines. Focus intensely on details when ensuring customer accounts are updated and ongoing relationships are preserved. 9. Act as a liaison between Financial Services and Database departments to update corporate ownership and management information as necessary on new and existing customers. 10. Complete miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 1. Detail oriented with strong mathematical and analytical skills 2. Above-average oral and written communication skills 3. Effective problem solving skills 4. High degree of computer proficiency with Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet 5. Ability to shift priorities to ongoing demands, while working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment 6.
