Roundy's Supermarkets is looking for Operations Management Trainees for our Pick 'n Save, Copps, and Metro Market stores in the Milwaukee and surrounding suburbs, Madison, Central WI and Fox Valley areas of Wisconsin. Position Overview: This training program will involve rotation in all perishable and non-perishable departments over a 52 week duration. Trainees will be put on an accelerated track to management and enrolled in a specific training program to learn all aspects of supermarket operations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The Operations Management Trainee will be involved in directing and managing all aspects of store operations, including driving sales, controlling expenses, developing people and executing merchandising plans, all with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. •Observes experienced store management in learning departmental operations •Ensures a positive shopping experience for all customers through attaining and sustaining customer relationships •Assists with communication between store management and store staff. •Completes training sessions in subjects related to: Leadership, Training & Development, Financial Analysis, Loss Prevention, Managing Performance, Employee Relations, and Interviewing •Supports and helps execute the store’s holiday plans and provides input •Lends and executes ideas that will improve customer relations, team functions, and/or overall store operations •Improves departmental operations by completing and implementing a S.W.O.T. Analysis •Contributes to moving any new company initiative forward.
