Student Group Coordinating Door-to-Door Collection for Hope House of Manitowoc on Saturday 10/27/12

Posted on October 22 2012

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is coordinating a Week of Service for our students from October 22 to 27, 2012 (our students enjoy a fall break on Monday and Tuesday, October 22-23). On Monday and Tuesday students will participate in a Habitat for Humanity house build in Manitowoc, and on Thursday and Friday they will help clean up an adopted section of highway and a local park. On Saturday, October 27 between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon, we are asking for help from members of the Manitowoc community for our “Make a Difference Scavenger Hunt.” Several teams of students will be going door to door in the city of Manitowoc collecting much needed supplies for Hope House of Manitowoc County, a local homeless shelter. Hope House serves homeless families, couples without children, and single women in Manitowoc County who are willing to follow program guidelines to lead them back to self-sufficiency. Learn more at or call 920-686-1436. Items requested for Saturday’s collection include:
