Silver Lake Wind Ensemble to Present “Concert Classics”

The Silver Lake Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Jeremiah Eis, will present “Concert Classics’ on Friday, February 21 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held in Endries Hall, located in Silver Lake College’s Franciscan Center for Music Education & Performance at 2406 South Alverno Road in Manitowoc. Admission is $5, available at the door or in advance by calling (920) 686-6173.

The ensemble will be performing exciting works from the wind band repertoire. Repertoire includes An American Fanfare by Wisconsin composer Rick Kirby, an arrangement of the folk song Loch Lomond by Frank Ticheli, The Symphonic Gershwin by Warren Barker, Arsenal by Jan Van der Roost, The Immovable Do by Percy Grainger, and El Camino Real by Alfred Reed. Also featured with be The Da Capo Saxophone Ensemble and Silver Lake Flute Ensemble.

The Silver Lake Wind Ensemble is a student, alumni, and community group comprised of approximately 50 musicians that performs four major concerts per season. Membership is open to qualified instrumentalists.
