Silver Lake College to Host ‘Wills Seminar’ On April 10 in Partnership with Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay
Anyone interested in learning more about creating a will or updating an old will is invited to attend a free Wills Seminar on April 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Generose Enrichment Center at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, 2406 S. Alverno Road.
The seminar, which is the first of its kind at Silver Lake College, is being held in partnership with the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay.
Cindi Brawner, executive director of the Catholic Foundation, will lead the event. An estate planner also will be in attendance and available to answer questions.
Most people feel that having a will prepared is expensive and complicated. In reality, most wills can be drafted for a reasonable fee. In addition, when you consider the fact that a well-written will allows someone to pass assets on to others while reducing or eliminating gift and estate taxes, the cost of not having a will prepared can be far more significant.
Refreshments will be served at the event. Space is limited, so an RSVP is appreciated by April 3. Please contact Mary Snyder, the Planned Giving Specialist at Silver Lake College, at (920) 686-6280 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
