Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is excited to announce that four of its students were selected for and performed in the National Band Association (Wisconsin Chapter) College All-Star Band held at the Lincoln High School Performing Arts Center in Wisconsin Rapids on Friday, January 18, 2013. Honored students included Amanda Dumovich (Senior Instrumental and General Music Education Major from Sheboygan) performing on alto saxophone, Tammy Reigel (Senior Vocal and General Music Education Major from Marshfield) performing on percussion, Amanda Miller (Sophomore Elementary Education Major from Oostburg) performing on flute, and Christopher Guy (Freshman Choral and General Music Major from Oostburg) performing on tenor saxophone. Nearly twenty Wisconsin colleges and universities participated, forming a band of approximately 100 students. The musicians selected for nomination were among the most talented musicians at their respective schools.

The Silver Lake College Music Program has a rich history dating back more than forty years, with outstanding programs offered in Music and Music Education with Kodaly Emphasis for traditional undergraduate and graduate students during the fall and spring academic terms, and in our internationally recognized Kodaly Summer Music Session. Popular music programs are also offered for expectant parents (Lovenotes®) and for young children (Music for Tots®). Members of the local community are invited to participate in our adult concert and children’s choirs, and to attend the many choral and instrumental concerts offered each year.
