Posted on October 28 2013

Silver Lake College, 2406 South Alverno Road, invites the public to attend “Phrasebook,” a guest artist exhibit featuring works by Wisconsin native Bonnie de Arteaga. Following a career in graphic arts and public relations, she returned to hand printmaking in 1999 under Christine Style at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. de Arteaga shared studio space and artistic vision with five artist friends at the Main Street Art Works co-op in Hilbert, Wisconsin.  For nearly 15 years, she has created mixed media prints, sculptures and encaustic paintings. de Arteaga’s work has appeared in national and international exhibitions, and has been acquired for the corporate collections of Bellin Health in Green Bay and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. Her latest encaustics come from her impressions of tile patterns of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. This exhibit will be in held in the Silver Lake College Art Wing Gallery (inside the East Entrance to the College on first floor) through November 24th, 2013. Exhibit hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday and Saturday.
