Silver Lake College Graduate Business Director Co-Authors Best-Selling Book, The Ultimate Success Guide

Alonzo Kelly, Director of Graduate Business for Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, in a recent collaboration with business development expert and best-selling author Brian Tracy, co-wrote the book, The Ultimate Success Guide: The World’s Leading Experts Reveal Their Secrets for Success in Business and in Life. The book was released on May 30, 2013 by CelebrityPress, a leading business book publisher, and quickly reached best-seller status in five categories – reaching as high as #2 in the Direct Marketing category. The book also reached best-seller status in the Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Marketing and Sales, and ‘Small Business and Entrepreneurship’ categories.

In 2009 Alonzo Kelly founded the Kelly Leadership Group, LLC and has since served over 1,000 individuals through personal and professional development, including numerous employees of fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. Kelly was the founder of the first Teen Court Juvenile Correction Program for the state of Wisconsin, and has extensive leadership experience in the healthcare, nonprofit, and financial industries. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Alonzo Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree in public administration, a master’s degree in human resources and labor relations, and a master’s degree in business administration. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, and has received numerous awards for his leadership and service including the United Way Philanthropic Five Award, Central Region Young Professional of the Year by the National Urban League, and the TRIO Achievement Award.

Alonzo Kelly joined the Silver Lake College faculty in fall 2012. He directs the Graduate Business Program in addition to teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate level in business, management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. A committed servant leader and fervent entrepreneur, Kelly says that one of his most important goals is “to ignite in my clients and students an entrepreneurial spirit, rooted in faith and service.” He is currently leading the development of a new MBA program at Silver Lake College to complement the existing graduate program in Management and Organizational Behavior (MS-MOB).
