Register Now for New Group Piano Classes With Internationally Renowned Pianist Diana Shapiro Starting January 2013

Posted on December 04 2012

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is delighted to announce that Dr. Diana Shapiro will offer group piano instruction at our Manitowoc campus beginning in January 2013. Dr. Shapiro became known internationally for her work as part of a piano duo with Dr. Stanislava Varshavski, whom she met while studying at Jerusalem Rubin Academy in Israel. Dr. Shapiro joined the Silver Lake College faculty in fall 2012 as Assistant Professor of Piano. She holds a doctorate degree in music from UW Madison, and her teaching experience includes the Wisconsin Conservatory, Maranatha College and the Jerusalem Academy of Music, in addition to private instruction. Please visit or call 920-686-6172 for more information and to register.

Classes will be offered once weekly, and will provide a comprehensive music curriculum. Registration will close no later than the beginning of the second class. The children’s classes are designed to help them discover the world of piano music through games, ear training, rhythm activities, and keyboard playing. The goal is to establish a lifelong love of music and a solid musical foundation that can be applied to any instrument. The adult classes are perfect for those who have always longed to play the piano, but have little or no musical experience.
