Minor in History

The History program emphasizes key skills of the discipline of history: inquiry, interpretation and presentation. After demonstrating competence in basic history chronology, students engage in historical research and analysis while developing thinking and communication skills. Global perspective and social history are important content emphasis in the program.

History minor is available for Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence and Early Adolescence teaching certification. Those interested must meet the requirements of the Teaching Education Program , have a certifiable major, and include a social studies methods (443).
