Lakers fall to Northland International University

Posted on November 13 2013

The Lakers lost a close game last night at Northland International University by the score of 81-78 on a last second shot from deep in the corner. The team came out looking tired and turnovers were a challenge. At one time they held a 6 point lead but were then down by 8 points several times. In the end Northland determined the outcome of the game.

The Lakers had three players in double figures: Darius Barnes led the way with 20 points and a game-leading 15 rebounds, Kyle Lundberg scored 19 points, and Javaughn Freeman contributed 15 points.

The 2-4 Lakers travel this weekend to Viterbo University for a four-team event that will include Viterbo in the first round, Cardinal Stritch University from Milwaukee, and Valley City State University from North Dakota.
