Posted on December 17 2013

The Lady Lakers improve their record to 5 and 4 with a victory over the visiting NCAA III Mount Mary Angels 84 to 45. The Lady Lakers bolted to a 15 to 0 lead to start the game and never looked back. It certainly was a great defensive effort especially early in the first half. The Lady Lakers were very efficient with their offense as well and dominated the first half 36 to 15. For the game, the Lady Lakers shot an impressive  51% from the field as well as 50% from the 3 point line for the game. This was a total team effort, and everyone on the roster contributed.

The Lady Lakers had 5 players in double figures. Raelyn Woock from Waupun lead the way with a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds Woock also had 4 assists and 3 steals. Courtney Clavers form Brillion was just short of a double double, with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Lyndsay Holschbach a Reedsville graduate had 12 points, while Shanice Wilson from Milwaukee WI. and Kaela Cheesmen from Rolla Missouri added 12  and 11 point respectively. Everyone on the active roster scored. It was the best team Christmas present we could have given to each other.

The Lady Lakers are now on Christmas break. The next game will be on January 4th against a very tough NAIA power Judson University. This will be a home game starting at 6:30 at the UW Manitowoc Field House.

The Lady Lakers basketball team and Coaching staff wishes everyone a Blessed and Merry Christmas.
