General Requirements

Adult Undergraduate Program

  • Majors offered in the accelerated-delivery format have specific entrance requirements and required foundation coursework.
  • All major programs require the completion of an integrated Liberal Arts Core of courses.
  • For business majors (Accounting, Business Management, and Human Resource Management), a minimum of one-third of the required courses for any accelerated major and minor must be completed at Silver Lake College.
  • The business majors are comprehensive; no minor is required but can be taken on an optional basis. (If a minor is selected, it must not duplicate courses that are part of the business core common to business majors.) A maximum of 12 credits of Independent Study and 12 credits in Special Topics courses is permitted with approval from the advisor and department chair.
  • Accounting majors must take at least three upper-level accounting courses (ACC 306, ACC 311, ACC 401, ACC 402, ACC 403) through Silver Lake College.
  • Proficiency in college-level math concepts that will enable success in MTH 130 or MTH 206 is required. (An assessment tool will be distributed at New Student Orientation for Adult Degree Programs.)
