The Lady Red Hawks bolted out to a 8 -0 lead before the Lady Lakers got on the board. The Lady Lakers pulled within 5 points several times until late in the half when the Lady Lakers turned over the ball several times and Indiana pulled out to a 16 point lead. The aggressive Lady Red Hawks ended the half with a flurry and lead the game 50 to 25. The second half the determined Lady Lakers came out and got the game down to a 16 point lead. Our team showed a lot of energy coming out in the second half. Unfortunately the long bus rides the last several days finally took its toll and the Lady Red Hawks cruised to the victory.

The Lady Lakers broke their two game losing streak with a convincing 87 to 68 victory over Gogebic Community College. Despite not playing up to their potential in the first half the Lady Lakers played well enough to maintain the lead. The team came out very focused in the second half both on offense and defense outscoring the Lady Samsons 40 to 30 to maintain the lead. The Lady Lakers did not take care of the well in the first half and Gogebic fought back from a 17 point deficit to only trail by 9 in the first half 47 to 38. That was a great win for Silver Lake. The team had four games this past week and they responded extremely well going 2-2 playing some very competition. We are extremely proud of the energy the team showed this weekend especially in today's game.
The Lady Lakers came up short for an upset victory over Finlandia University losing the game 84 to 68. The score certainly does not indicate how close the game really was. Mid way throught the second half the Lady Lakers actually tied up the score. Then a 9-0 run with three three point baskets by Finlandia opened up the lead and they never looked back. The team played with great energy tonight but could not get the ball to fall late in the second half.
