The Lady Lakers fell just 3 points short of their quest in earning second consecutive upset victory losing to Moody Bible Institute by the score of 77 to 73. The Lady Lakers lost to them earlier in the season by 15 points at their place. After a hard fought victory the previous night the Lady Lakers missed some very makeable shots in the first half and found themselves down 12 points at the half losing 42 to 30. The second half the team came out very focused and full of energy to eventually tie the game with just under 2 minuets left in the second half. Amanda Kudick was very instrumental in leading the charge with outstanding defense and her drives to the hoop. A last minute shot by the Lady Lakers fell just short to take the lead. Moody hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to seal their victory. The Lady Lakers played two great games this weekend. I was very proud of their heart and desire they showed throughout this weekend.

The Lady Lakers were defeated by Grace just two weeks ago by a score of 90 to 75. The Lady Lakers shot 46.2% from the field as well as 74.2% from the free throw line to take the lead mid-way through the second half. The team made some clutch free throws by Lyndsay Holschbach, Amanda Kudick and Courtney Clavers in the end to seal the victory.

Our third long road trip in the last three weeks is finally over. The injury bug really hit us hard last week and this weekend as well. We went to upper Michigan without Jordan Barbeau who had to have dental surgery on Friday and also without our starting guard Shanice Wilson who had to sit out both games because of a concussion. On Sunday's game against Finlandia University, our shooting guard, Kaela Chessman suffered a serious injury to her knee early in the first half of Sunday's game. Kaela was playing extremely well up until her injury and we truly missed her for the rest of the game. With that being said, the Lady Lakers lost both games this weekend.
